CUKI Summer Camp 2021
Football-based Activities and Workshops for 6 to 16-Year-Olds
As part of the Department for Education (DfE) and Manchester City Council’s Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) scheme and in partnership with Hide Away, Families Against Violence and Claremont Youth Project are running a summer programme for children living in Moss Side, Fallowfield and Rusholme. The programme will feature football-based activities, nutritional education and classroom work. All participants will be provided with a hot meal at lunchtime. The event is free.
The Camp starts on Monday 26th July and runs through to Friday 27th August.
How to Book
Attendees are split into two groups: –
Seniors – 12 to 16-year-olds
The senior programme starts at 11:30 each day with lunch at the Ibrahim Maine Centre with registration starting from 11:15. The group then move to the Platt Lane Sports Complex – 10 minutes walk – where classroom discussion, including nutritional education, takes place along the football-based activities. The senior programme ends at 16:00 each day.
Juniors – 6 to 11-year-olds
The junior programme starts at 10:00 each day with football-based activities at the Platt Lane Sports Complex, with registration starting from 09:45. After football the group walk to the Ibrahim Maine Centre for a hot lunch and classroom work, including some age-appropriate nutritional education. Pick up is at 15:00 from the Ibrahim Maine Centre.

Essential Information
Please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed for the expected hot weather and that sun block is applied.
Because the football-based activities will take place on an artificial grass surface it is important that the child is wearing trainers with grippy soles or, if she / he has them, studded football boots.
Joining information will be sent to you once you have registered and booked spaces on the Camp through Eventbrite.
