The journey of one of our players

Testimonial from Young Man who was a FAV Event Attendee as a Child and Now Leads Events for FAV

My name is Mohammed Abdullahi.

I started off at CUKI as a Participant and a Player as a very young kid attending as many sessions as I could throughout the week and have always enjoyed CUKI and the atmosphere, energy and good vibes it brings to the community and the youth through football What really caught my attention and reason why and the reason why behind everything we do when setting up an organisation.

And the story behind CUKI and FAV and why is was set up is what makes the Unity and Diversity so powerful and even more special to us participants and us as Coaches now. CUKI has really given me the opportunity to really network with many different like-minded people as well what was ahead for the future. FAV and CUKI supported and inspired me to obtain football coaching qualification and now I deliver sessions locally for the Manchester United Foundation and for Foundation 92 (the charity arm of Salford FC). I’m currently going to be Leading a Summer Camp for FAV from the 26th July - 27th August as a Head Coach Planning and Delivering sessions to help my coaching skills as well as leadership skills.  I Want to help CUKI and FAV go the next level as it’s lived a big part in my youth and especially to where i am now today as a Young Coach I want in the future to help children who were once my age have the best opportunities and education in life when it comes through Engagement in football I want to be a leader for the leaders of tomorrow!’
