Young Manchester in partnership with BBC Sport will be having an Outreach Event on Thursday 28th October 2021 at 10am to 3.30pm at the National Football Museum, Urbis Building, Cathedral Gardens, Manchester, M4 3BG.
The purpose of the Event
- To participate in taster sessions for a day in a life of sport journalism
- To increase the awareness of the opportunities at BBC Sport and the media industry
- To increase the understanding of how to gain roles at BBC Sport and the media industry
The event is for young people between the ages of 15 years and 25 years, in particular young women, those with a disability, or from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic backgrounds.
The event will be attended by BBC professionals from a range of roles within BBC Sport, who are keen to share some of their skills and industry tips for applying for roles such as apprenticeships in BBC Sport.
If you have any young people in year 10 and 11 who would like to participate please complete the consent form and forward names by Tuesday 26th October 2021.
